1 Timothy 2:5-6

It doesn’t get much clearer than this. There is one God and one Arbitrator to come between us with the purpose to reconnect us relationally. His name is given here as the Man Christ Jesus. There is nowhere else to go for forgiveness of sins. There is no other source of Salvation to empower our lives to be more than survival. Jesus is THE answer for our world’s problems: Yesterday, Today, and Forever. (Hebrews 13:8)

Paul even says that any other explanations come with curses. (Galatians 1:8-9) Even angels aren’t exempt from this curse. I need to hold fast to the faith laid out by Jesus, Scripture, and the Apostles He chose to write His word through. Jesus was just as clear when He told Thomas: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6) Sometimes our friends, even those who know Jesus, want us to sacrifice clarity for the sake of making others feel comfortable. They want us to be nice instead of good. It seems to me that we can’t afford to blur the truth for them because their eternal conditions are at risk. Everyone needs to know the truth (lovingly spoken to them) so that there is a clear choice for them to make. All other options are just placebos to make things seem better.

Placebos are dangerous because they prevent people from getting the treatment they need. The only treatment for our sinful condition as humans is trust in the work of Christ as our Mediator. I love the people I know too much to let them make an uninformed choice. Jesus is the way to the Father. All other roads lead into eternal destruction. If you are reading this and you need to know Him be sure that He loves you more than anyone else. He died for you so you could live through Him forever.
