But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.
Ephesians 2:13
Ephesians 2:13
We who were far off are the gentiles; formerly outsiders from God’s work of salvation. We were among the masses of people who had a very limited access to God primarily through the ministries of the Jewish nation. But God changed that all with Jesus. We were brought inside by the sacrifice of Christ’s life for all; both Jew and gentile.
Now we are in God’s family, if we have accepted Christ as our savior. We have access to an inheritance that is greater than the one provided by the first covenant with Jacob. The blessing available to both groups far exceeds that which was available through the law established God through Moses.
This is an awesome revelation to God’s new people from both groups. We are family with Him! Those who were near and those who were far were still outside side the middle wall waiting for Jesus. He breached that wall and made a way for a new people to be reconciled to God. He destroyed the enmity between us and God. Now both groups have unlimited access to the Father by His Spirit.
We are no longer need to be on the outside looking in. Whether Jewish stationed near His kingdom with the law to reveal His plan or gentile afar off without even knowing about Him. Jesus has come to open the way for all. If you are a believer today take some time to think on all the blessings you have availed to yourself by believing in Him. If you have not believed yet please consider that Jesus more than anybody can tell you want to bring you into His kingdom through Himself by your faith.
