For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect because of the glory that excels.
2 Corinthians 3:10
2 Corinthians 3:10
The glory of the first covenant is not truly glorious because of its fading quality and because by comparison the glory of the second covenant far excels it. The glory in us by Christ increases as we following Him; it does not fade away. We move from glory to glory and strength to strength.
The veil that separates those under the first covenant is removed for those in Christ. Jesus brought us into the heavenly holy of holies. This means that we have the opportunity for constant exposure to the glory of God. The glory in our face does not fade like the glory given to Moses. Our faces are transforming into Christ’s image. His comeliness transmitted to our persons. Those around us see the image of Christ shining from us in that glory. The fiery glory has moved from the burning bush, to Moses’ face; to the head of the disciples in the upper room until finally it rest in the person of every believer.
Let’s give up the things that block our exposure to the true, permanent glory that the second covenant provides in Christ. Let’s clean up anything that prevents it from emanating from us to impart His grace and truth to them. Then we will be prophetic and evangelistic.
Shining For Him,
Pastor Jason
