Crediblility -- March 9, 2009

But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid Him.
Mark 16:6 NKJV

No other spiritual leader ever claimed to be God with credibility except ours! Mohammed was a lost soul trapped in his humanity until one day he declared himself Allah's prophet. Buddha also was a man given to the passions and pleasures of this world until the day he claimed he knew the way to godhood. Only Jesus claimed to be the actual Son of God, God Himself. Those in His culture certainly understood His claims of Divinity. This is the very reason they used to put Him to death.

Philippians tells us: “And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”(v. 2:8 NKJ) Jesus submitted His humanity to death so His Deity could overcome the last enemy we will face. He took the sting away from death so our enemy, Satan, could never use it against us. He took the keys of Hell to provide us assurance that our sin was justified. Jesus provided the legal requirements for salvation and the power to live it out. Satan no longer has any legal claim and his power is under the power and authority Jesus has conferred on us!!!

The angel declared it loud and clear, in effect saying, "He is risen! He is not here. Look for your self!" Today if you hear the Spirit calling you, don’t shut Him out. Look for yourself at the claims of Christ. Take and honest look and find out for yourself. Don’t just take the word of others, call out to Him for yourself and He will answer. Then like so many before you begin you walk with Him to life and wholeness.
