14 For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, 17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Ephesians 3:14-19
Ephesians 3:14-19
This prayer is based in God’s revelation to Paul that the gentiles as fellow Jews will come to God in Christ along with them for the purpose of revealing God’s diverse wisdom to all of the earth and the powers over them. Since it is God’s purpose for His church to reveal Him to His enemies as well as His servants, Paul prays for might in the Holy Spirit so that with Christ dwelling in our hearts by faith based in love we will be able to comprehend all the dimensions of God’s love experientially know the fullness of God to our fullest capacities. We will only be able to dispense God’s love to the degree that we have experienced it. We cannot give to others what we do not have ourselves.
Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, prays that all the saints be able to grasp the full magnitude of God’s love. We will need to be rooted in this ground of love so that we can minister to each other and the world. It will be necessary for God to be the source we minister from and we know that God is love. (1 John 4:8) Without the love of God as the foundation of our lives we cannot share love at all. There is no way to define the manifold wisdom of our Father without love being the central substance of His person.
If we allow God’s fullness to pour into us it will overflow us and touch all of those around us. Jesus put it this way, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) Let’s pray with Paul for the person of Jesus in us to result in us knowing the total depth of God’s love.

Jason, I'm thankful to be rooted and grounded together in the same love of God. This branch is a distance away from you, but we're connected to the same tree. Be blessed, my friend and produce with joy that which He supplies.

I feel the same way Kenny. I know we are connected in Him and in the work we do. Thanks for your gracious words.
