14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
Romans 10:14-15
All who have seen the night sky, a forested mountain, or stood at the ocean’s edge know that the God who made them is great. In this chapter, Paul says their sound has gone out to all the earth and that their words reach everywhere in the world. To have faith in God you must hear about Him. The Lord has made sure that everyone has had the chance to know about Him through the testimony of the creation He has made. Yet the Lord expects us to beautify ourselves with the gospel by bringing God’s glad tidings of peace and good will towards us.
Our loved ones need us to finish the testimony that the creation has started. Paul’s questions still stand before us. How will people call on Jesus if they don’t believe in Him? How will believe if they don’t hear about Him? How will they hear if no one shares with them? How will we share if we are not sent? The answer is clear; we are sent.
We are sent with a message so beautiful that it beautifies us right down to our feet. We have good news! We need to present it that way; even when no one believes our report. Remember today that you are sent with a message that is so great that it make you look great! Tell somebody the good news.
Father, help me be winsome with the message you have sent into the whole world. Bless someone today through me. Encourage me with the beauty of Your Salvation so that I might boldly share it with others.
