Praise -- January 19, 2009

But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”
Luke 19:40

When the King comes, there is worship! When Jesus was born the angels, shepherds and the magi came to worship the entrance of their King into the world made for man. When Jesus “officially” came into Jerusalem, the Lord had worship perfected from the mouths of babes. I know we can’t manipulate God into manifesting His Presence but we can welcome Him anytime He does show up.

Jesus is also telling us that worship is mandated for His entrances into our world. Whenever you are feeling led to worship, DO IT. Jesus couldn’t get the religious leaders to worship Him at His entrance so the children had to do it and He told those leaders if the children were silenced that the stones would cry out. Worship doesn’t mandate His Presence but His Presence does mandate praise.

As they celebrated His triumphal entrance into that city so long ago let’s worship Him as a welcome to enter our lives today! We can’t afford to give the stones and opportunity to cry out for us.

Crying Out To Him,

Pastor Jason
